TEWKSBURY: Jacqueline J. (Martin) Desmond, age 71, a resident of Tewksbury for 44 years, died Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Wilmington Health Care Center.
Jacqueline was the wife of James E. Desmond, with whom she would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on April 30th.
Born in Wakefield on July 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Margaret F. (Campbell) Martin.
Mrs. Desmond was raised in Wakefield, attended Wakefield schools and graduated from Wakefield High School in 1953.
Prior to her retirement in 2004, Jacqueline was employed as a demonstrator by BJ’s in Medford, where she worked for over 10 years.
Mrs. Desmond enjoyed vacationing in Maine, visiting the beach at Plum Island and spending time with her family and co-workers.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters; Kathleen Desmond Parsons and her husband John of Dracut and Deborah Desmond Meserve and her husband Robert of Kennebunk, ME; two grandchildren; John Ryan Parsons and Spencer James Parsons both of Dracut; also many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Desmond was the sister of the late Constance O’Connor of Peabody.
Calling hours Friday, February 9th, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. A prayer service will be held Saturday, February 10th, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home.
