Judith G. Mehr, 59, of Bedford, died February 5, 2007 at her home, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on March 2, 1947, in the Bronx NY, and was the daughter of John and Helen (Heim) Hangen. Judy was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.
Judy earned her M. A. Ed and was involved in early childhood education through 1978. Thereafter, she became a full time Mom and Homemaker. She enjoyed playing tennis, bridge, gardening, cooking and making quilts. She will be remembered as a loving, selfless wife, mother and friend.
Family members include her husband of 38 years, Gene Mehr of Bedford; 3 sons, Gene Mehr of Belmont, MA, Jon Paul Mehr of Whitestone, NY, Chris Mehr of Worcester, MA; her mother, Helen Hangen, of FL; her brother John Hangen, of Hampton, NH; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, February 8, 2007 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd. Bedford.
