West Boylston – Robert P. Lindberg, 89, formerly of 37 Maple St., died Thursday, February 1, 2007, in the Christopher House after a long illness. His wife, Lillian (Olson) Lindberg, predeceased him. He is survived by a son, David Lindberg of West Boylston; a daughter, Nancy Seremeth of West Brookfield; four grandchildren, Sharon Belton of Wausau, WI, Jennifer Mason of Sydney, AU, David Lindberg, Jr., of Orange, CA, and Sara Kachadoorian of Rutland; and five great-grandchildren, Hannah & Devin Kachadoorian of Rutland, Jack & Colin Belton of Wausau, WI, and Caitlin Mason of Sydney, AU. He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Elsie Lindberg and Olga Yonkosky and 2 brothers, Ragnar and Harold Lindberg.
Robert was born in Worcester, son of Emile and Charlotte (Peterson) Lindberg. He retired from Norton Co. after 41 years of service. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of West Boylston, a Mason-Scottish Rite Bodies-Boylston Lodge, Greendale Retired Men’s Club and Glee Club. He served on the West Boylston Selectboard and Light Commission.
Burial will be private in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. A Memorial Service under the direction of NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, will be held at the First Congregational Church on Saturday, February 10, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of First Congregational Church, Central St., West Boylston MA 01583 or the Friends of the West Boylston Council of Aging Building Fund, 120 Prescott St., West Boylston, MA 01583.
