Arlene R. DeCoste, a 2 year resident of West Bridgewater, formerly of Bridgewater, died on February 4, 2007 at her home.
Born in Boston, she was raised in Dorchester, & was a graduate of Dorchester High School for Girls. She also attended Burdett Business School in Boston.
She worked for 22 years for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue as a Tax Examiner, in Cambridge & Brockton. She retired in 2002 from the Audit Bureau in Fall River.
She lived in Bridgewater for many years before moving to West Bridgewater.
She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in West Bridgewater. She enjoyed cooking, bowling & horseback riding.
She was the wife of John DeCoste. Mother of Cheryl Reardon of Brockton, Paul Yunits of Cumming, GA, Robert Yunits of Middleboro, & Joseph Yunits of Revere. Step mother of Betsy Evans of Bellaire, TX, & Patricia Guido of Middletown, MA. Also survived by 11 grandchildren & 1 great grand daughter.
Funeral from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (RT 18) on Wednesday at 9:15Am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anne’s Church West Bridgewater at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Bridgewater. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.
