Obituary

Jules O. Gauthier, Sr., 75, of Dartmouth died February 5, 2007 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Janet L. (Rainville) Gauthier.
Born in Newmarket, NH, the son of the late George Gauthier, Sr. and Marie (Raulet) Gauthier, he was raised in Fairhaven and lived in Dartmouth most of his life.
Mr. Gauthier was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
He was formerly employed as a truck driver for Tavano Construction, Pine Hill Sand and Gravel and George LeConte Trucking for many years until retirement.
Mr. Gauthier was a former scout master for Troop 74 at St. George's Church in Westport.
He enjoyed bowling at Lincoln Park and Midtown Bowling Lanes.
Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Jules Gauthier, Jr., and his wife Cheryl, and Roland Gauthier, Sr., and his wife Kathy, all of Dartmouth; a daughter, Yvette Nunes, and her husband John, of Dartmouth; 2 brothers, George Gauthier and Leon Gauthier, both of Dartmouth; a sister, Jeanne Vieira of Dartmouth; 6 grandchildren, Catherine Gauthier, Christopher Nunes, and his wife Lorianne, Andrew Nunes, and his fiancée Jennifer Austin, Roland Gauthier, Jr., and his wife Jennifer, Shannon Gauthier and Nathan Gauthier; 5 great-grandchildren, Devan, Emma, Austin, Karissa and Candice; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Thursday, February 8th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday, February 7th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
