WORCESTER-Francis R. Shea, 84, of Worcester, died Sunday, February 4th in Parsons Hill Nursing Center. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Helen A. (Desmarais) Shea; his son, Robert F. Shea and his wife Kimberly J. of Charlton; a daughter, Mary M. Shea; a brother, Philip Shea, and a sister, Bertha Sain, all of Worcester and several nephews and nieces.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Michael and Bertha (Moreau) Shea; and was a graduate of Saint John’s High School. Mr. Shea had been a route salesman for Salmonsons, Meola, Lee, and Hillcrest Dairies, retiring in 1997. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. Mr. Shea enjoyed traveling with his wife and being with his two pet dogs.
The funeral is Wednesday, February 7th, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Wednesday morning from 8:30 until 9:30 in the funeral home.
