Jane E. (Donaghy) Lees, 74, of Mattapoisett died Friday February 2, 2007 at home after an extended illness. She was the loving wife of John A. Lees, Sr.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Harry and Florence Donaghy, she lived in Mattapoisett for many years.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
Mrs. Lees enjoyed traveling and spending Sundays with her family.
Survivors include her husband; eight children, Timothy Reilly of New Bedford, Andrew Reilly of South Carolina, Richard Reilly and his wife Melanie, Paul Reilly and his wife Kathy, Donna Reilly Askew and her husband David, Karen Lees, John Lees Jr. and his wife Pamela, and Jane Lees, all of Mattapoisett; two sisters, Noel Burk of New York and Carol Cunningham of Michigan; 17 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
She was the mother of the late Joy Reilly and sister of the late Harry Donaghy.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Anthony's Church. Burial will follow in Cushing Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 5-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett.
