Richard L.Dickerson, 53, of Old Pocasset Road, Johnston, died suddenly, Tuesday, January 30, 2007. He was the husband of Linda J. (Messier) Dickerson. They were married for 25 years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Haschal and Mary (Sousa) Dickerson. He lived in Johnston for 22 years and had previously lived in Attleboro and Warwick.
He worked for Weingeroff Industries in Cranston. He was a model maker by trade since 1977. He was previously a Manager for the Napier Company in Providence and had worked for Jonette Jewelry. Mr Dickerson was a Navy veteran. He was an accomplished artist and loved all types of music.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Laurie Orduna of Warwick, a son Rick McNamara of California, two grandsons Marc Orduna and Brady McNamara, two sisters Susan Welesko of West Greenwich, Patrica Nolet of Florida, his mother in law Anita V. Messier of Attleboro and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 am in the*ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation Friday 4-7pm.
