SHREWSBURY___Lorraine A. (Nevalsky) Greenwood, a daughter of Benedict and Mary (Grimala) Nevalsky died Tuesday January 30, 2007. She was born in Worcester on Feb. 25, 1931.
She leaves a son, Tom Callery and his wife Jane, three daughters, Gail Brigham and her husband James, Robin Richards and her husband Tom and Kelly Greenwood – Busch and her husband David, seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Kevin, Michael, Joseph, Emi, Cari and Sara. She also leaves a sister, Eleanor Gray and two brothers, Edward and Donald Nevalsky. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles T. Greenwood who died in 1981, and also by her sister, Lenny Neval and her brother, Paul Grimala.
Lorraine attended Commerce High School, Worcester and spent the majority of her life caring for others as a nurses’ aide at various health care facilities, including working as a health aide for the Visiting Nurse Association. In her younger years she was an aspiring model in New York City. Lorraine will be remembered for her extreme love of family, her strong will, great cooking and her kindness and compassion towards others.
Calling hours will be held on Friday February 2 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester. The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 3, with at Mass at 10:00 am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St., Worcester.
