McGarry of Brockton January 29, 2007 Dorothy C. (Leavitt) McGarry 92 years, wife of the late Maurice McGarry. Loving mother of Joan McGarry of Brockton and Maurice M. McGarry and his wife Susan of Sandwich, MA and Ft. Myers, FL. Grandmother of Linda McGarry of Brockton and Michael McGarry of FL. Also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton Thursday at 11am, visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
Mrs. McGarry died Monday morning in the Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. She was born in St. Stephens Canada the daughter of the late Frederick and Nellie (Eagan) Leavitt. Dorothy was raised and educated in Brockton.
She was a secretary for 16 years for the Goddard Hospital in Stoughton and retired in 1985. Her passions were gardening and caring for her family. Mrs. McGarry will be lovingly remembered as “Ma” and sadly missed by all her friends in the West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton.
