Halifax- John Morley Rust, 88, of Halifax, formerly of E. Bridgewater and Abington, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at his home. He was the husband of the late Rita M. (Frabetti) Rust.
Born Aug. 7, 1918, in Somerville, he was the son of the late James and Mary C. (Morley) Fallon.
Raised and educated in Abington, he was a graduate of Abington High School, Class of 1938.
Mr. Rust also attended Brockton Business College.
He was a production control supervisor and traffic manager at Independent Nail Co. in Bridgewater and Taunton for many years, retiring in 1997.
Mr. Rust was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he received the Good Conduct Medal and ATC Ribbon.
He had lived in Abington until 1955, moved to East Bridgewater, then moved to Halifax in 1981.
He was the father of Susan M. Manigan and her husband Thomas of Townsend and Diane C. Belrose and her husband Clifford of Halifax; brother of Thomas Fallon of Medford and the late James, Thomas and Mary C. Ralph. Also survived by three grandchildren, David W. and Alison M. Kilpatrick and Nicole S. Belrose; three step grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater, Friday at 9:15 am. Funeral Mass in St. Johns Church, E. Bridgewater, at 10 am. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm. Burial in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
