Josephine (DiMauro) Luestro, 94, a life long resident of Lawrence, MA. Died at the Henry C. Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen, MA. On Saturday, January 27th, 2007.
She was born in Lawrence, and graduated from the Holy Rosary School as a young girl, and then went to work for the Wood Mill. She was the daughter of John and Anastasia (Taormina) DiMauro. She was the widow of Vincent James Luestro who was killed in WWII. She belonged to St. Rita Sodality and the Carvel Chapter for the Blind.
Josephine was a very giving and loving mother, grand mother, and great grand mother. All her family adored her. She had a great interest in all their lives and accomplishments. Nana was always there for her family.
She leaves her two daughters: Mary Shaheen of Methuen, MA. And Lorraine and her husband Louis Pitocchelli of Florida. Five grand children Sheila Pitocchelli of Florida, Linda and her husband Neil Valente of Salem, N.H. David and his wife Sheryl Pitocchelli of Atlanta, Georgia, Cynthia and her husband Gregory Ryan of Reading, MA. Diana and her husband James Burnham of Reading, MA. Also 7 great grand children: Matthew, Stephen and Lauren Ryan, Alexis Burnham, Nicholas Valente, Summer and Aron Pitocchelli. One sister: Jenney and her husband Anthony Reina of Lawrence, MA. As well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 31st, 2007 at 11:00AM at
Corpus Christi Parish in Holy Rosary Church, Lawrence, MA. A burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence, MA.
