Lillian E. (Newcomb) Bornas, 89, of Burlington died on Monday January 29, 2007 at the Lexington Health Care Center in Lexington, MA.
Born in Norton, MA on October 27, 1917 she was a daughter of the late John E. and Lillian M. (Watson) Newcomb.
She grew up in Norton and attended Norton schools. Lillian was employed in various capacities at the Simmons Mattress Co. in Medford for over 30 years before retiring.
An avid baker she enjoyed making wedding cakes for members of her family as a gift on the their wedding day. She had made her home in Burlington for over 40 years and was formerly of Medford and Somerville.
She is survived by her devoted son George J. Bornas of Burlington. Her dear sister Dorothy G. Robbins of Norton. Also surviving are her 3 nephews Leslie, James and Michael. She was the sister of the late Harrison E. Newcomb, James E. Newcomb, Laura I. Smith and Clara M. Strojny.
Memorial services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday March 17th at 2:00 P.M. at the Trinitarian Congregational Church, East Main and Pine Streets, Norton. Private burial will be in the Norton Center Cemetery, Norton.
