Jimmie Lee Griffin, 87, of Fitzgerald died Sunday, January 28, 2007 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM on Thursday, February 1 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald with Rev. David Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Griffin was born February 23, 1919 in Irwin County to the late Joseph H. and Bessie Mae Bell Griffin. He moved to Florida in 1954 and moved back in 1981 from Polk County, Florida. Mr. Griffin was a farmer and a former employee of Snivelys Citrus Company. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church in Irwin County.
Mr. Griffin is survived by a brother, Alton P. Griffin of Fitzgerald as well as several nieces and nephews.
