Maria Alzira (Camara) Cabral, age 79, of 174 Hailes Hill Rd., Swansea, died Saturday at R.I. Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jose Cabral. She is survived by One Son: Michael Cabral of No. Kingstown, R.I.; Three Daughters: Alvarina Tavares of Swansea, Jacqueline Medeiros of Swansea, Pauline Miranda of Swansea; One Sister: Natalia Camara of Canada; Eleven Grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren, and Several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Albert Cabral, and sister of the late Fernando, Eduardo, Manuel and Iris Camara, Maria Tavares, Odilia Do Rego, and Fernanda Pestanha.
Born in Feteiras, Sao Miguel, Azores, the daughter of the late Jose Valtine Camara and the late Francelina Da Conceicao Camara. She was a Swansea resident since 1995, previously residing in Fall River, MA. Before retiring, she was a Machine Operator lastly at Joan Fabrics. She was also a member of St. Michael Church.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St. on Thursday at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St., at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 5-9 P.M.
