Dwight Law, 54, of Ocilla, died Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM, Wednesday, January 31, at Lax Holiness Baptist Church, with Bro. Wayne Driskell and Bro. Sam Hester officiating. Interment will follow in Lax Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 until 9, Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Law was born September 16, 1952 in Ocilla, Georgia, to Lurene Stephens Law and the late Leamon R. Law. He lived in the Lax and Irwin County communities all of his life, graduating from Irwin County High School in 1971. Mr. Law was a farmer and he attended Mt. Union Holiness Baptist Church in Lax. He was an avid outdoorsman with a great love for fishing. Mr. Law was a member of the Irwin County Saddle Club for many years, riding in many local, district and state horse shows and winning many ribbons and trophies.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Lurene S. and Bob Schultze of Chula; sister and brother-in-law, Glenda & Elton Pearman of Chula; nephew and wife, Steffen & Heather Pearman of Tifton; niece and husband, Christa & Clay Pate of Lenox; great-niece, Abigail Pearman of Tifton as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
