Aristedes H. Maggiacomo, age 68, of Medford formerly of Boston's North End, died unexpectedly January 26th, at the New Baptist Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Antoinette (Habeeb). Born in Boston he was the son of the late Domenic and Effie (Agabides) Maggiacomo.
Mr. Maggiacomo was retired from the Boston Edison Company. He retired in 2000 after working for the company for 32 years. Throughout his life, Mr. Maggiacomo was was very active and enjoyed sports. He was an outstanding baseball player as a young man and later in in life he enjoyed playing handball at various health clubs.
Mr. Maggiacomo was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the Medford VFW post 1012.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Maggiacomo is survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers, the late Gerald Maggiacomo and Robert Fabiano.
Funeral from the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church 71 Warner St. Medford, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Aristedes memory to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 3 Bridge St., suite 100, Newton, MA 02158.
