...Television Shop owner, formerly of Billerica; 69
DRACUT - James F. Santos, age 69, the founder of Authorized Television Repair company in
Arlington, died Saturday, January 27, at Saints Medical Center in Lowell, following a lengthy
illness. He was the husband of the late Shirley M. (Flickner) Santos.
He was born in Cambridge, on March 25, 1937, a son of the late Angelo and Dorothy (Mason)
Santos, and raised by his mother and step father, the late Frederick Ferren. He was raised in Somerville, but lived in Billerica the greater part of his life. He moved
to Dracut several years ago.
Mr. Santos worked at Avery’s T.V. company in Arlington before founding his own company,
Authorized T.V. Repair, which continues to operate in Arlington.
He was described by his family as an out doors man who loved fishing. He also was a classic car
hobbyist.
He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, James F. Santos Jr and his wife Kathy
(Briggs) of Pepperell, and Frederick J. Santos and his wife Lori (Lena) of Dracut, with whom Mr.
Santos lived; two grandchildren, Jaccob Santos and Jordan Santos, both of Dracut; and several dear
friends including, Robert Ogden and Judy Pigeon of Dunstable, Paul Bates of Arlington, Thomas
McCarthy of Dracut, and Ms. Scotty Gross of Billerica.
He was also brother of the late Daniel Santos.

A Memorial Prayer Service was
held on Friday, Feb 2, in the funeral home. Interment followed at Fox Hill Cemetery,
Billerica. Memorials to the Arthritis Foundation, Chatham Center - Suite 450,
Newton, MA 02458-1287, will be appreciated.
