Didio and his wife Kate of Ashland, Jean Jackson and her husband Edward of Peabody and Judith Phillips and her husband Steven of Wantage, New Jersey. Dear brother of Antonia Foglia of Cranston, Rhode Island, Marie Leary of Malden and the late Gabriel Didio and Catherine Blake. Cherished grandfather of Paul, Mark and Allison Nigro, Brian Didio, Ross and Sarah Jackson and Kasey, Scott and Neil Phillips. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street (Maplewood Square) Malden on Wednesday morning, January 31st at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody. Born in Worcester, Francis at 77 years of age passed away at the Beth Israel Deanconess Medical Center in Boston Friday evening after a long illness.
A resident of Malden for most of his life, he and his wife moved to Revere where they lived for 20 years until taking residence at Brooksby Village in October of last year.
A professional engineer, receiving his masters in engineering in 1960, he was past treasurer and member of the Malden Lion's Club and was a Coporal in the United States Army during his tour of duty.
