Derry, NH – William L. Markey, 55 died Thursday January 25, 2007 while visiting a friend in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.
Born in Lawrence William is survived by his parents Laurence F. and Mary K. (Kenyon) Markey. He was a graduate of the Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School.
For many years Mr. Markey had been employed with the Boiler Makers Union as a Welder.
According to Bill’s family he enjoyed golfing, fishing, & hunting, and was a longtime member of the Welders Union of America.
A former resident of Lawrence and North Andover William is also survived by his children Bethany Markey, & Brindle Markey, brother James M. & his wife Christine Markey, sister Carol & her husband James Keating, and brother Daniel F. Markey, grandchildren Kaila, and Jackson, several nieces and nephews aunts, uncles and cousin and special friend Traci Post.
A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday morning at 10:30 A.M. in Saint Monica’s Church of Methuen with burial to follow in Ridgewood Cemetery of North Andover.
Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 8:45 A.M. to 10:15 A.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
