Richard V. Farnham of Wakefield and formerly of Melrose and Malden, died suddenly on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. He was 50 years old.
Richard was born in Malden on September 28, 1956. He grew up in Malden, where he attended Malden Public Schools and graduated from Malden High School in 1974. He enlisted into the United States Army and served before being honorably discharged. Richard worked for several years in the Health Care industry as a clerk. Richard loved spending time with his family, he enjoyed people and appreciated the fun times in life.
Richard is the beloved husband of Nancy A. (Giannetto) Farnham. He is the devoted father of Nicole Fossett and her husband Robert of Wakefield and Christopher D. Farnham of Wakefield. He is the loving grandfather of Leah and Robert Fossett and Mikayla Farnham. He is the beloved son of Beatrice F. (Ricci) Farnham and the late Arthur J.Farnham of Malden. He is the beloved brother of Michael Farnham of Quincy, David Farnham of Reading and Toni Reyes of Malden. He is the son-in-law of Joan Giannetto and the late Nicholas Giannetto. He is also loved by many nieces and nephews.
Richard's Funeral will be held on Monday January 29, 2007 from the Carr Funeral Home 1159 Main St. Melrose at 9 a.m. followed by his Funeral Mass in St, Mary's Church (corner of Myrtle & Herbert Streets) Melrose at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Richard will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2007 from 3 to 7 p.m. Cremation will follow his Funeral Mass.
