Dolores V. (Martin) Carreiro, 56, of Fairhaven died Friday January 26, 2007 suddenly at home. She was the wife of Victor M. Carreiro; they had been married for 35 years.
Born in New Bedford and raised in Dartmouth, the daughter of Matthew and Mary Lou (Varao) Martin of Dartmouth, she lived in Fairhaven for most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.
Mrs. Carreiro was employed as a medical secretary for Community Nurse & Hospice Care in their Dartmouth office.
Her pride and joy were her three grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; her parents; two daughters, Kristin Serpa, and her husband Robert, and Erin Rosa, and her husband Timothy, all of Fairhaven; a brother, Michael Martin of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Susan Pierce and Patricia Magellan, both of Dartmouth; three grandchildren, Colby Serpa, Kennedy Serpa and Rylie Rosa; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mariano and Maria Carreiro of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
