Douglas Leeman. Age 75. Husband of Dolores (Almeida) Leeman. Residence 40 Pearce Rd., Swansea, MA. Died Thursday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA. Son of the late Lewis Alvin Leeman and the late Melissa(Mc Cutcheon) Leeman. He was a Swansea resident for 35 years. Before retiring, he was an Operating Engineer for Local 4 Operating Engineers Union. He was a volunteer for “Meals on Wheels”. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Dominic Church.
Besides his wife of Swansea, he is survived by Two Sons: Douglas P. Leeman of Swansea, MA & Scott P. Leeman of Swansea, MA. One Brother: Frederick Leeman of Georgia. One Sister: Alice Boulanger of Swansea, MA.Several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Louis Alvin Leeman, Jr. and Herman Leeman, Laura Read and Marion Joannes.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home,1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA. on Monday at 7:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dominic Church, G.A.R. Highway, Swansea, MA at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea, MA. Calling hours Sunday 3-7 PM
