Peter A. Barrasso, age 95, of Medford for over eighty years, died January 24th. He was the beloved husband of the late Carmela (DiMinico). Born in Boston he was the son of the late Carmine and Genoveffa (Coulantoni) Barrasso.
Mr. Barrasso was a retired laborer in the consturction industry and was a member of the laborer´s Union local 22. He retired in 1975. Mostly devoted to his family, Mr. Barrasso enjoyed being a member of Medford´s Park Police and also enjoyed his time as a member of the Italian Workers Club in South Medford. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Barrasso´s memory to the charity of your choice.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Barrasso is preceded in death by his sisters Louise Serino and Ann Gauthier, brothers Anthony, Emelio and Albert Barrasso. He is survived by his son Carmen Barrasso of Ware, daughters, Barbara Scopa of Medford and Geraldine Taranti of Stoneham. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Saturday, at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
