TEWKSBURY - Virginia G. “Ginnie” Sederquist, age 58, a former Nanny to a the television
actor Robert Urich, died Wednesday evening, January 24, at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody
after a long period of declining health.
She was born in Boston, on December 24, 1948, a daughter of J. Wilford and Evelyn
(Moczienski) Sederquist, but had been a lifelong Tewksbury resident.
She worked as a Nanny to the family of Robert Urich when they lived in North Andover, during
and after the filming of the television series Spencer for Hire. She was invited to move to
California with the Urich family, but declined, citing the need to remain in Tewksbury to maintain
and nurture her strong family bonds. She also worked wait staff at Tewksbury’s Jade East
restaurant.
She is survived by a son, John O. Dunn of Tewksbury; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Dunn of
Manchester, NH; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John W. Sederquist and his wife Paula
(Kelleher) of Hudson, NH, Capt. Joseph A. Sederquist and his wife Susan (Alex) of Wilmington;
a sister and brother-in-law, Sheila Sederquist-Rivard and her husband Brian Rivard of Plum
Island; a sister-in-law, Sally (Spraker) Sederquist of Manchester, NH; two aunts, Lorraine Miller
and Alberta Costa both of Tewksbury; and eight beloved grandchildren, Amanda, Emily, and John
“Jack” Dunn, and James Putney all of Tewksbury, Amanda Dunn of Nashua, NH, Joshua Dunn of
Salem, NH, Bradlee and Mitchell Fuller, both of Burlington; and many dear friends throughout
the Merrimack Valley.
She was also mother of the late Cindi M. Dunn-Fuller, and sister of the late Scott Sederquist.
Her Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, Jan. 30, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury.
Burial followed in Tewksbury Cemetery.
