Wildwood, Florida – Thomas L. McNamara, Jr. 72, died Monday January 15, 2007 at his residence in Florida.
Born in Boston, Thomas was educated in the Charlestown school system. During the Korean War Mr. McNamara served his country in the United States Navy prior to being honorably discharged at wars end.
For many years Thomas was self-employed owning the Wilmington Telephone Answering Service.
According to his family he was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife of 50 yrs., Mary E. (Gibson) McNamara. Children Thomas & wife Kathleen McNamara, David & wife Catherine McNamara, Brian & wife Mary Beth McNamara, Chris & wife Deborah McNamara, Keith & wife Lisa McNamara, Alice & husband Robert Armstrong, Sean & wife Amy McNamara, & Susan McNamara, 15 grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
Mr. McNamara was pre-deceased by his sister Marilyn Delfino.
A funeral mass will take place on Thursday morning February 1, 2007 at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington, MA.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
