Charles R. Howland, age 78, died peacefully on Tuesday October 15, 2002 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford.
He was born in Medford on April 25, 1924 a son of the late Charles F. and Esther (Oliver) Howland.
A lifelong resident of Medford as well as a communicant of the First Community United Methodist Church, he married his beloved wife of 57 years Dorice I. (McCloud) Howland on February 03, 1945.
He was employed as a repairman for Sears for over 26 years. His enjoyed "fixing things" as well as reading.
He is the beloved husband of Dorice I. (McCloud). Loving father of Roberta and her husband George Martin of West Lebanon, N.H. and the late Priscilla and Lawrence Howland. Cherished grandfather of Robert, Charles, David, Peter, Steven, and Jonathan. Dear great-grandfather of Michael and Kathryn.
His funeral will be held in the First Community United Methodist Church, 55 Otis Street, Medford, Friday at 10:00 AM Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9PM Interment, Oakdale Cemetery, Wellfleet.
