Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Mary at Stonehill College, 320 Washington Street, N. Easton at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. SHARKEY, Marie Ann (Palmiero) - 73, of Little Harbor, Wareham and Brockton died January 21, 2007 after a long illness. She was the wife of David A. Sharkey for 48 years. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, the daughter of the late Francis A. Palmiero and Elizabeth L.Vandini, she had resided in Wareham since 1994. In her youth she was employed as a secretary in the insurance business. A dedicated mother and grandmother she was well known for her culinary skills and hospitality. She enjoyed sailing from Harwichport with her family for many years in New England waters and was an accomplished hostess with her husband to business and government clients and colleagues from around the world. Marie was an avid international traveler to numerous locations including Australia, Asia, the Orient, Central America and western Europe. Survivors include her husband, a daughter Marda E. Collett and spouse Tom J. of Newtown Square, PA; a son Jonathan D. Sharkey and spouse Vanessa E. of West Bridgewater; and four beloved grandchildren.
