Georgia (Pappas) Diamond of Medfield, formerly of Needham died suddenly at her home on Thursday January 18th at the age of 87. Mrs. Diamond was a resident of Needham for 30 years before moving to Medfield in 1991. Mrs. Diamond was an active member of the Greek Orthodox Church community. She worked as an Administrative assistant in the Religious Education Dept. of Greek Orthodox Archdiocese until she retired. Georgia was the beloved wife of the late Xenophon B. Diamond who died in 1987. Dear mother of Yvonne Regos of Cunningham TN, Andrea Kyriazis and her husband Fotis of St. Petersburg FL, Basil Diamond and his wife Nancy of Clarksville TN and Fotene Zimmerman and her husband John of Medfield. Sister of Peter Pappas of Riverview MI and John Pappas and his wife Lois of Newark, DE. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 57 Brown Street, Weston on Monday January 22nd at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham on Sunday from 5-8 PM. Interment at Needham Cemetery.
