Vincenzo ‘Salvatore’ Saporito, age 60 of Somerville died Friday after a brief illness.
Mr. Saporito was born in Riesi, Sicily, he has lived in Somerville since 1972 and was the son of Grazella (Brancato) and Salvatore Saporito. Vincenzo was a construction laborer with Local 151 and worked in the Boston and Cambridge area. He retired in 2000.
Beloved husband of Antonietta (Anello) Saporito. Devoted father of Tommaso Saporito of Somerville, Gracie Saporito, Josephine Mustone both of Stoneham, and the late Salvatore Saporito. Loving grandfather of Matteo Mustone, Michela Mustone, and Vincenzo Saporito. Cherished son of Grazella (Brancato) and Salvatore Saporito of Somerville. Brother of Rocco Saporito of Italy, Angela Giardina, Carmela LoGrasso both of Everett, and Maria Gendron of Tewksbury.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
