DRACUT - Elaine M. (Efstathiou) Dastous-Chute, 45, a resident of Dracut, and former Lowell resident, died unexpectedly Thursday January 18th at Saints Medical Center in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of Timothy J. Chute to whom she was married for eight years.
She was born in Lowell on January 17, 1962, and was a daughter of Apostolas and Nickoletta (Tsoukleris) Efstathiou of Lowell. She received her education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School. She was also a graduate of the former University of Lowell.
Mrs. Chute was employed as a computer programmer by the Sterilite Corporation in Townsend.
She was a member of Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two daughters Jamie Dastous and Keri Dastous, both of Dracut, a step son Nathan Chute, and a step daughter Danielle Chute and her fiancé Michael Stickney, all of Dracut; a sister Lynne Toupin and her husband Richard of Dracut, a brother Louis J. Efstathiou of Windham, NH; her mother-in-law Amy Chute of Haverhill and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late John P. Efstathiou, and the daughter-in-law of the late David Chute.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Monday from 4 until 8pm. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday at 10am, followed by her Funeral Service at 11am at the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, Lewis St., Lowell. Burial in Westlawn Cemetery II, Lowell.
