Obituary

Adrian Joseph Daigle, “Pat”, 88 , a 45 year resident of Greenville died January 19, 2007 at his home. He was the husband of Teresa (Brown) Daigle.
Born in Fort Kent, Maine, he is also survived by his daughters, Joanne Mitchell of Willington CT and Judith D’Angelo of Worcester MA, five granddaughters and one great grandson.
Known to his friends as Pat, he served as a Sergeant in the US Armed forces during WWII. After separating from the service, he finished high school at Cheshire Academy then attended the University of Maine and graduated with a BS in Agriculture and did graduate work at Cornell. With his agriculture background, Pat felt he could help in an undeveloped country. He joined AID-Association for International Development. This group was under the director of the Bishop of New Jersey. Their mission was to give technical assistance where needed. He became part of a team sponsored by Maryknoll Mission in the Yucatan Pennisula in the Territory of Quintona Roo, Mexico. On his return to the US, Pat worked with the Soil Conservation Service Dept. of Agriculture as a soil scientist. Upon retirement Pat worked at St. Aloyisus Home and the John E. Fogarty Ctr. as a counselor. Also Pat was certified as a Master Gardener by URI and gave of his talents and his produce to his neighbors.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30 am from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI . Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828.
