Dorothy L. Connors, age 84, a life long resident of Woburn, died unexpectedly, Wednesday morning, January 17th. She was the beloved wife of Gerald J. Connors for 57 years.
Born in Woburn she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Margret (Rock) Daw.
Dorothy loved and was loved by her friends and family. Always the homemaker, well known for her cooking. She was also a loyal Red Sox Fan, attending spring training over the years, she was thrilled to see the team win the World Series in her life time.
Dorothy also loved the ocean and during the summer she spent a great deal of time in the Newburyport area and Plum Island, during the fall she enjoyed traveling throughout New England to see the foliage. In recent years Dorothy also enjoyed being active with the Woburn Senior Citizen’s Club.
In addition the her late parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her late son, Donald P. Connors, her sister Eleanor Murray, and brothers, Harry W. Jr., Thomas and Richard Daw. She is survived by her sons, Gerald J. Connors Jr. and Robert D. Connors both of Woburn. She is also survived by her sister, Marjorie Johnson of Woburn and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
