Gary P. Gordon, 51, of Fairhaven died Friday January 12, 2007 surrounded by his family at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Henry E. "Skip" and Melba (Costa) Gordon of Fairhaven, he lived in North Attleboro and Plainville for many years before returning to Fairhaven two years ago.
A graduate of New Bedford Hair Academy, Gary was a hair stylist who formerly owned and operated Hera Salon and Bladez in North Attleboro. He enjoyed making people feel and look beautiful.
Survivors include his parents; a brother, Steven M. Gordon and his spouse Jill of Acushnet; two sisters, Kathleen M. Smith and her spouse Tom of Foster, RI and Dr. Lisa A. Gordon and her spouse Julie Ozaydin of Bolton; and his nieces and nephews, Stephanie St. Onge, Scott, Erin, and Brooke Gordon, Victoria and Lily Mel Smith, and Henry Gordon-Ozaydin.
He was predeceased by his faithful dog, Amadeus.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 1 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 5-8 PM and Saturday from 12 Noon - 1 PM.
