Ruth B. Hamm, age 76, died after a lengthy illness, on Sunday October 13, 2002 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
She was born in Medford on June 23, 1926 a daughter of the late Guy R. and Addie (Leslie) Pontifex.
She was a lifelong resident of Medford and a communicant of the Community Baptist Church of Medford.
Ruth was employed as a treasurer for the Lexington Town Employees Credit Union for over 40 years.
Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Earle Hamm.
She is survived by three cherished children, Sandra L. and her husband David J. Butters of Medford. Lori J. and her husband Roger H. Wicksman of Contoocook, N.H. and Gary Hamm, also of Medford. Loving sister of Frank R. Pontifex of Medford and the late James L. Pontifex. Dear grandmother of Tiffany, Casey, Dorie, Leeann, Amy, and Jake.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 16th, 2002 at 10:00 AM in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours, Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. Interment, Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
