Obituary

Myrtle B. (Barrett) Ledoux,82, of Fourth Avenue, died Wednesday, Jan. 17 surrounded by her caring family at Auburn Life Care Center in Auburn after a five year, hard fought battle with (non-smoking) lung cancer.
Her husband of 48 years, Romeo J. Ledoux died in 1994. She leaves two daughters Karen A. Richard and her husband Robert of W.Brookfield and LouAnn M. Morin and her husband Alfred of Spencer, four grand children Aimee Rhodes and Meredith Hobby of Iowa, Melissa Morin-Bernard of Charlton and Jarrett Morin of Spencer, four great grandchildren Bryce Bernard, Renee and Sydney Morin and Emmaline Rhodes and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers Daniel, Edward and Francis Barrett and sisters Beatrice Robator, Marilyn Fontaine and Dorothy Thibodeau.
Mrs. Ledoux was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church and at onetime worked at Paul Revere Insurance Co. in Worcester . She graduated from David Prouty High School where she excelled in basketball and softball. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler playing in area leagues. Along with her late husband, she enjoyed their day trips to Newport and their walks at Ft. Adams State Park. She was a loving mother, grand and great grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Francis and Angeline (Benoit) Barrett.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 20 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 7p.m. in the funeral home.
