TEWKSBURY - John J. Barry, age 54, a self employed distributer of snack foods, died
unexpectedly on Monday, January 15, at his Tewksbury residence, from an apparent heart attack.
He was the husband of M. Judith (DiPerna) Barry, with whom he had celebrated a 32nd wedding
anniversary this past September 15th.
He was born in Cambridge, on February 2, 1952, the son of the late Walter and Dorothy
(Monahan) Barry, and was raised in Arlington. He graduated Arlington High School with the
Class of 1970. Mr. Barry had resided in Tewksbury since 1988.
He was self employed as a snack food distributor for the Bachman Company.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Justin J. Barry of Tewksbury; two sisters and a brother-
in-law, Ellen Ames of CA, and Dorothy Cragen and her husband Richard of Malden; his mother-
in-law, Dolores (Marshall) DiPerna of Tewksbury; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Paul
DiPerna and his wife Melinda of CA, Michael DiPerna and his wife Charmaine of CO; his
Godchild, Carol Cimetti; and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass was held Saturday, Jan. 20, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Interment will be private. Memorials to the
Children’s Hospital - Boston, 1 Autumn St. # 731, Boston, MA 02215, will be appreciated.
