Elizabeth Ann Hendrickson, 84, formerly of 35 Mill Road, Boylston, died at midnight, Tuesday, January 16, 2007, at Notre Dame du Lac Long Term Care, Worcester Massachusetts.
Elizabeth Hendrickson was born in Nashwauk, Minnesota to Helen Harvey and Carl Bordash. A war bride, she married Albert A Hendrickson in 1944, a marriage which lasted until his death in November, 1998. She graduated from Framingham (BS) and Worcester State Colleges (MS) and taught science at Clinton and Tahanto High Schools. She was active in the Boylston Cub Scouts, PTA, Senior Citizens and Garden Club; the Elder Advocates of Worcester State College; and in both St. Mary of the Hills and the First Congregational Church of Boylston. She was a skilled maker of braided rugs, a supporter of wildlife organizations and a passionate spokesperson for science.
Elizabeth leaves her sisters – Virginia, Carol and Sharon – seven children – Maryhelen, Barbara, David, Michael, James, Susan, Laura – twelve grandchildren – Andrew, Jeffrey, Emily, Juliet, Sylvia, Michael, Manda Rose, Carolyn, Kimberly, Megan, Kyle, Alexander – four great grandchildren – Tyler, Caden, Jaycee Lin, Isabel – and many other dear relatives and friends.
Calling Hours at NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester on Friday, January 19, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Private burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
