Jeannette V. Balfour, 92, a homemaker, of Continental Road, Greenville died Monday, January 15, 2007 at Hopkins Manor. She was the loving wife of Charles S. Balfour, Sr. who died in March 2006.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Peter and Jennie (Shanley) Nasso. She lived in Smithfield since 1952.
She is survived by her children, Joyce A. Malloy of Cranston, Charles S. “Bud” Balfour of Glocester, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Slater of East Providence and a brother, Harold Nasso of North Providence. She was sister of the late Henry Nasso, Catherine Fugere, Lillian Bockstael, Viola Lemioux, Mildred Hawkins, Irene Conley and Hazel Peterson.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, Johnston. Visitation respectfully omitted.
