Edna Eloyce Green, 89, of Tifton, died Monday, January 15, 2007, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2007, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Terrell Roberts and Rev. Marion Green will officiate with burial to follow in Salem Memorial Gardens at Salem Baptist Church. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 16, 2007, from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service.
Ms. Green was born on December 12, 1917 in Tifton and was the daughter of Harvey Byrd and Lillie Lovette Byrd, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Green; two daughters; one brother; and two sisters. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Green is survived by four sons, Henry G. Green of Omega, Marion R. Green of Tifton, James M. Green of Lenox and Rodney G. Green of Sarasota, Florida; four daughters, Martine Hill of Tifton, Linda Stinchcomb of Tifton, Barbara McLendon of Saint Augustine, Florida and Diane Reade of Ty Ty; 27 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren.
