Ingrid H. (Elm) Cronholm, died on Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester, MA. She was born in Huskvarna, Sweden on February 2, 1919, the daughter of Carl and Emelia (Peterson) Elm and came to the USA at the age of 2.5. A graduate of Gardner (MA) High School, she also lived in Worcester, Holden, and Hubbardston. Her husband, John E. Cronholm predeceases her. She is survived by sons, John J. Cronholm (Lt. Col, USAF-Ret) and his wife, Susan, of Dover, NH, and Steven R. Cronholm and his wife, Janet, of North Attleboro, MA. Grandchildren, Jeffrey M. Cronholm and his wife, Priscilla, of Arlington, MA; Kathryn C. Leombruno and her husband, Jeffrey, of Derry, NH; Andrew S. Cronholm and Sarah M. Cronholm of North Attleboro, MA, also survive her.
She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church's choir and Naomi Circle in Worcester, MA and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Retired Employees Assoc. She was a secretary at the former VA hospital in Rutland Hts and continued working there when it was run by the Commonwealth. She retired in 1991.
There are no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church, 64 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 10:00 a.m. Burial service will be private at the request of the family. Memorial donations may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church or the Briarwood Residents Assistance Fund, 70 Briarwood Circle, Worcester, MA 01606.
