Joseph Perry. Age 97. Husband of the late Angelina (Ferreira) Perry. Residence 500 Wilbur Ave.,Somerset, MA. formerly of 277 Chatterton Ave., Somerset, MA. Died Friday at Clifton Rehabilitation Center. Born in Portsmouth,RI. Son of the late Manuel Perry and the late Urselina(Medeiros)Perry. He was a Somerset resident for 28 years. Before retiring in 1974, he was an Assistant Meat Manager at New England Poultry in Fall River for 29 years. He was a member of the Portuguese Continental Society of the U.S. for 30 years. He was a former Chairman of St. Elizabeth Credit Union and a Charter Member. He was a member of St. John of God Church.
He is survived by One Son: Joseph E. Perry of Somerset, MA. One Sister: Esther O’Connell of Riverside, RI. Several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Jesse Perry,Manuel Perry, Antone Perry, Laura Perry, Gladys Perry, Elsie Ferreira and Mary Silveira.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home,1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA Wednesday at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave.,Somerset, MA at 9:00 A.M. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8 P.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA.
