Marguerite E. Harper, 99, of Manchester, NH died January 12, 2007 at the Villa Crest Nursing Home in Manchester. She was born in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Canada on April 15, 1907, the daughter of Edgar and Susan (Wagner) Anderson. She was a Manchester resident since 1991, formerly of Londonderry, NH and Wilmington, MA. She was a past president of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Wilmington, MA. She was also a founding member of the Londonderry Senior Citizens, where her husband had served as the first president. She was a communicant of St. Jude Parish, Londonderry.
She is survived by her son, Richard A. Harper of Colorado Springs, CO and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur B. Harper in 1993.
There were no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 10:00am at St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Burial followed in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Colorado Springs, CO at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Parish Building Fund, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH 03053. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry was in charge of the arrangements.
