Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 10 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater. Visiting hours Monday 4-7 pm. Obituary
James R. Pinardi died Thursday at his home following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Claire (Morrissey) Pinardi. He was born, raised and educated in Fall River, the son of the late James A. and Rita (Bazinet) Pinardi. Mr. Pinardi resided for many years in Brockton before moving to Raynham two years ago to make his home with his son. At the age of 17 he entered the US Marine Corps and served in the Korea war he was a Force Recon Marine. During his lengthy career he served aboard the USS Randolph, spent time in Subic Bay in the Philippines and was one of the youngest reservation police officers to serve. He was also a brig warden. He loved the Marine Corps until his last day. Following his military discharge he worked for many years at the Bird & Son Paper Mill in Walpole; He had also worked for 20 years at the Shaw’s Warehouse in E. Bridgewater before he retired in 1996. He was a member of UFCW local 791. He enjoyed studying Indian Folklore and American Eagles.
He is survived by a son, Scott D. Pinardi and his wife Stacey of Raynham, two grandchildren, Claire and Jace, two brothers, Robert Pinardi of Fall River and Russell Pinardi and his wife Cindy of Fall River and a sister, Doreeen Leonardo of Dighton, and several nieces and nephews.
