Doris M. Manning, 84, of Dover and Centerville, formerly of West Roxbury, died January 12, 2007 and the Mary Ann Morse Nursing Center in Natick. She was the beloved daughter of the late Timothy D. and Mary (Gillespie) Manning.
Doris was born in Boston in 1922 and has been a Dover and Centerville resident for many years. Prior to relocating to Dover, she lived in West Roxbury for several years. Doris was an employee for American Airlines.
She is survived by her sisters; Helen F. Manning of Dover and Norma Connolly of Westwood and her brothers; Timothy Manning of Millis and John Manning of Brighton. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rita K. Manning, Kenneth L. Manning and Edward F. Manning.
Her funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) Wellesley, on Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in The Church of Most Precious Blood, Dover, at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
