Etta May (Bettencourt) Blodgett, 76 years, of Shalimar FL, formerly of Brockton, died October 8, 2002 in Florida. Born in Weymouth, MA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence W. and Mary E. (Dickman) Bettencourt. She was the wife of the late Lester A. Blodgett. She had been a resident of Brockton for many years before moving to Florida. She had been a longtime resident of the Campello High Rise
She is survived by four sons, James L. Blodgett of Shalimar FL; David A. Blodgett of Shalimar FL; Steven A. Blodgett of Schnecksville, PA; Jerry W. Blodgett of Charlotte, NC; stepchildren, Larry Garner and Raymond Garner, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren; two sisters Edith Doughty of Abington; Mary Hansen of Holbrook, two brothers Warren Bettencourt of Holbrook, and Edward Bettencourt of Stoughton. She was the sister of the late Alfred Bettencourt and Janet Myers.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater, with the Rev. William McCoy officiating.
