Rebecca (Hooker) Miller, a resident of Revere for many years, died at the Jewish Rehabilitation Center, Swampscott, on January 11, 2007. She was 93 years old.
Rebecca was born in Boston and raised in Chelsea where she attended the Chelsea schools and High School. She also graduated from a Boston Business school. Beloved wife of the late John Miller, Rebecca spent most of her life in Revere where she kept a loving home. She spent many of her late years at the Jack Satter House where she was a member of the Tenants Association. She also donated much of her free time to helping in the kitchen and opening mail.
Rebecca was the devoted mother of Phyllis Flynn and her husband Robert of Revere. She was the loving grandmother of Kevin and his wife Tamora, Terrence and his wife Shauna, and Michael. She was also the loving grandmother of four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Avenue (Cary Sq.) CHELSEA on Sunday, January 14, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place in Woburn. Memorial observance at the home of Phyllis and Robert Flynn, Revere, Sunday evening, January 14, from 5:00-8:00 PM and Monday, January 15, from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Rebecca may do so through memorial donations to the American Cancer Society of Massachusetts, 9 Riverside Road, Weston, MA 02472.
