Obituary

Warren Taft Scally, 85, died Thursday, January 11, 2007. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Gertrude (Johnson) Scally; 4 children, Judith Scally Russo of West Boylston, Sandra Tate of Falmouth, ME, Warren Scally, Jr., of Holden, and Frank Germain of Winchester; a sister, Elizabeth Childs; 9 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 3 brothers and a sister.

Born in Worcester, son of John and Elizabeth (Taft) Scally, Warren graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School and was a WWII Navy Veteran. He was a master plumber and foreman for the Worcester School Dept. for 30 years, retiring in 1986. He was a 32nd degree Mason-Scottish Rite Bodies, member of OES Stella Chapter and Old Ironsides Veteran Post 423. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church.

Calling hours 1/15, 5-8 pm at NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln Street. Funeral 1/16, 11:00 am at Nordgren Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester, or the Activities Fund, Holy Trinity Nursing Home, 100 Barber Ave., Worcester. The family is very grateful for the care and support of the nursing home staff.
