Juanita D. Douvris, age 82, of Woburn, died January 11th at the Winchester Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter W. Douvris. Born in Bentley, OK she was the daughter of the late James T. and Ella (Prater) McKeen.
Mrs. Douvris was raised and educated in Oklahoma and came to Woburn nearly sixty years ago when she married her late husband Peter. Devoted to her family, Mrs. Douvris enjoyed caring for her husband and children. She also worked for many years as a department store sales manager of retail clothing.
Mrs. Douvris is survived by her daughter, Estelle Barstad and her husband Brian, and her son, William P. Douvris. She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister Nola Walker of Texas, and a brother, Carson McKeen of Washington and several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Tuesday at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 70 Montvale Ave, Woburn, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
