WORCESTER-Phyllis A. Hoyen, of 793 Salisbury Street, died Friday, October 11th in Worcester. She leaves 3 brothers; Thomas and George Hoyan both of Worcester, and Dr. Harry Hoyen, Jr. of Webster, NY, and 4 sisters; Margaret, Helen, Dorothy Hoyen and Mary Szoke all of Worcester and several nephews and nieces and 2 grandnephews.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth (George) Hoyen. Miss Hoyen was an honor student graduate at Classical High School. She had worked in the payroll department at the Norton Company for 45 years, retiring in 1989. She was a lifetime member of All Saints Episcopal Church, and was active in many of the Norton Company activity groups. Miss Hoyen enjoyed classical music and was an avid photographer.
The funeral will be held Monday, October 14th at 11:00 AM in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
